Mipac has recently expanded and opened a new office in Tucson, Arizona.
So why did Mipac decide to expand? Let’s look at the strategy behind the move, and get a deeper insight from Mipac’s first U.S. staff member.
Why Tucson?
At Mipac, we’re more than just a control systems integrator; we’re a trusted partner in operational technology for the mineral processing industry. Our team brings three decades of hands-on experience in mining processes and technologies, ensuring we have the expertise to tackle any challenge. With a global footprint from Alaska to Chile and across Africa, we’ve successfully executed projects in diverse cultural and regulatory environments, demonstrating our adaptability and reliability.
Our commitment to excellence extends beyond technical expertise. Local presence is crucial for building strong relationships and providing personalised support. We’re excited to announce the launch of Mipac Inc. in Tucson, Arizona. Strategically located in the heart of the US Copperbelt, our new entity is perfectly positioned to serve the growing demand for mining expertise in North America, ensuring rapid response times and tailored solutions that meet specific local needs.
Along with a well-established industry in base metals, North America is now growing an extensive portfolio of new mining projects, spanning traditional precious metals like gold and silver, as well as ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as copper, iron ore, lead, zinc, and nickel. As the world shifts towards a renewable energy future, demand for these critical minerals is poised to skyrocket.
Australian Matt Bott, Lead Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Systems Engineer, leads our expansion into this new home market. Matt will also lead our growing presence in the USA, bringing his deep knowledge of mineral processing operations and technical and project delivery skills to serve and provide value to our clients in the North American region.
