Since 1997, we’ve grown from a small ambitious team that enthusiastically seized an opportunity to a well-established organisation uniquely placed with knowledgeable senior engineers and creative, skilful innovators in technology.

Our timeline
1997
Mipac registers as a company on 3 March 1997.
Mipac HQ is set up at Sandgate Road, Albion with 17 employees.
Original shareholders are Tony Mathison, Bob Yench, Paul Puusaari, Matt Puusaari, Don Robinson, George Wood and Phil Ebery.
Bob Yench is Managing Director and Chairman.
2001
Ian Vary is appointed as General Manager.
New colour logo launched.
2003
Tony Mathison is appointed as Managing Director.
2004
Bob Greenelsh is appointed as Chairman.
2006
Mipac wins two PACE Awards for work in Mopani Copper Mines, Zambia and Norske Skog, Albury.
2007
Mipac celebrates 10 years in business.
100 projects delivered globally.
2008
Eddie De Rivera is appointed as Managing Director.
Mipac HQ moves to Navigator Place, Hendra.
Mipac wins 2008 PACE Zenith Award for the Kazzinc New Metallurgy project in Kazakhstan.
2009
Mipac wins PACE Zenith Award for Tankhouse Management Solution, CellView®.
2012
Mipac opens an office in Vancouver, Canada.
2013
Geoff Gault is appointed as Chairman.
2015
Mipac HQ moves to 369 Ann Street, Brisbane.
2016
Mipac opens an office in Perth, Western Australia.
2018
Mipac celebrates 21 years in business.
65 employees and counting.
Mipac HQ moves to 410 Ann Street, Brisbane.
>250 projects delivered.
2021
Mipac is acquired by GR Engineering Services (GRES).
2022
Mipac celebrates 25 years in business with over 100 employees and counting.
